Employment Law

Employment law is going through some significant changes at present, due in large part to new policies coming from the European Commission.  Other factors such as pension legislation and the Disability Discrimination Act also play a role in determining employment rights and responsibilities in the UK today, and all the while the law continues to evolve on a piecemeal basis as a result of employment tribunals and test cases.

Naturally, these changes only add to the pressures of employers, who face the increased risk of action with the threat of substantial compensation awards if they fail to comply.  Even large organisations with dedicated human resource or personnel departments can struggle to meet this challenge, whilst the smaller organisation often does not have the resource to respond correctly.  The very nature of these evolving laws requires employers to act quickly, and to do that they need to access legal advice and assistance at very short notice.
