Will to Remember

We are excited to share that we have partnered with the Alzheimer’s Society through their Will to Remember Scheme, where you can write a simple Will with us for free*.

Why choose the  Will to Remember Scheme?

The Alzheimer’s Society have partnered with solicitors across the UK to enable you to write a simple Will for free. You can do so with the expert guidance and support of legal professionals who’ve chosen to partner with Alzheimer’s Society because they’re committed to supporting everyone affected by dementia.

The service was named ‘Best Free Will Service’ in the UK at the Smee & Ford Legacy Giving Awards 2024. By choosing to write your Will with the Alzheimer’s Society, you can feel confident that you’re doing so with trusted, industry-leading experts.

Getting started with your free Will

  • Register now through the Alzheimer’s Society website;
  • Alzheimer’s Society will then send an information pack – including a Will guide, list of local solicitors and a letter entitling you to a free simple Will;
  • Choose Elliot Mather LLP from the list of participating solicitors and arrange an appointment with us; and
  • Write your Will. During your in-person appointment, the solicitor will ask you some questions about your circumstances and write your Will.

A simple Will (single or mirror) is free of charge with Will to Remember Scheme. Your solicitor will explain any additional costs that may come with more complex requirements before you start.

Rebecca Hudson

Trainee Solicitor

Rebecca is a Trainee Solicitor in our Wills and Probate Department. Rebecca joined the firm in January 2023 and is predominantly based at our Chesterfield office but can also assist clients further afield.

Rebecca obtained her Law degree from Sheffield Hallam University in 2021 and completed her Legal Practice Course alongside her Masters in Law at the University of Law in 2024. Rebecca is due to start her Training Contract with Elliot Mather LLP in October 2024.

Rebecca is regularly instructed to assist clients with all aspects of:

  • Will writing;
  • Lasting Powers of Attorney;
  • Deputyship applications;
  • Probate applications; and
  • Administration of estates.

Rebecca understands that the above matters listed can be daunting for clients, so she uses her friendly and approachable manner to support and guide clients throughout the process.
