Before joining our Criminal Department in 2016, she completed her law degree at Nottingham Trent University in 2012 and her Legal Practice Course at APP Law School in Leeds in July 2018.
Katie provides representation to those appearing before the Magistrates Court for a broad range of offences. She provides advice to both legally aided and private paying clients.
When not at court, Katie gives advice and assistance to those detained at or invited to attend the police station for an interview under caution. Katie is part of a team that provides Police Station cover not only during office hours, but evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.
Katie also has experience in preparing more serious matters for trial or sentence at the Crown Court. She has helped clients charged with extremely serious allegations including rape, kidnap and large scale drug possession and supply.
Katie’s particular strength is the ability to give thorough and honest advice to clients who have found themselves in a difficult and often stressful situation.
