Due to the recent changes to SDLT providing for First Time Buyer relief (FTB relief) our online quotation system is in the process of being updated and the current figure will not show any FTB relief, we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.  If you are a first time buyer and buying for under £300,000.00 (A first time buyer is defined as an individual or individuals who have never owned an interest in a residential property in the United Kingdom or anywhere else in the world and who intends to occupy the property as their main residence. This must be the case for every buyer if more than one and that buyer(s) have never bought a property, inherited a property or are a beneficiary of a trust that owns a property) you will be entitled to relief and no SDLT will be payable. First time buyers purchasing between £300,001 to £500,000.00 will be charged 5% on the portion from £300,001 to the purchase price. First time buyers purchasing a property for more than £500,000 will not be entitled to any relief and will pay SDLT at the normal rates on the whole amount.
